"It is a beautiful newly renovated house and is very well kitted out. It’s very nicely decorated. The kitchen has everything you need, the furniture is beautiful. Downstairs is one very large bedroom with shower and sinks, that stays very cool. Upstairs are 4 smaller bedrooms, 2 with small double beds and 2 with kids beds. In the garden, the views and the pool are glorious. There is a table tennis table and good quality garden furniture. There is also a large rooftop terrace with great views. It seems to be in a very safe and quiet neighborhood. It’s located in a very small town with bakeries and cafes at 5-10 min drive, and half an hour out of Lyon."

"We were there for a week in July, when temperatures were between 28-37 degrees. It was very hot in the house (despite having all the blinds down). At the time of booking the owners had promised they would provide airconditioning units for the upstairs bedrooms. They weren’t there when we arrived and we struggled to sleep. The house is so well insulated that it stayed 30 degrees inside over night, even more in some of the upstairs rooms. There are no insect screens so leaving the windows and blinds open wasn’t an option with lots of mosquitos and moths around. The owners then provided one ac unit and additional fans which helped a little for one couple who moved their kid into their bedroom. The garden has no shade until midday other than the large umbrella, but the pool was wonderfully cool. We had to have all the blinds down both upstairs and downstairs most of the day to try and keep the house from heating up more. There was supposed to be floor cooling but that didn’t work for the first few days and when it was fixed we didn’t notice any difference in temperature. Finally, one of the kids rooms had lots of toys in it but with notes everywhere saying “do not touch” which is quite difficult for young kids to understand when sleeping in a room full of toys. I would recommend putting things away that you don’t want touched when renting out a house to a group with young kids."
